Apple has reportedly launched its first DIY repair services for iPhone customers in the United States. The company will make spare parts for some iPhones, including the third-generation iPhone SE, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13.
Apple proclaimed to make a Self Service Repair available in 2021, saying it was planning to offer customers over 200 individual parts and tools. While the DIY repair service is available for US-based customers, for now, the company will expand the same to other countries and additional gadgets like Macs with M1 chips at some time this year.
The spare parts for the abovementioned Apple iPhone models are available through Self Service Repair Store. Apple mentioned in its press release that the company would make tool rental kits available to rent for a week for $49 for individuals who do not want to purchase tools.
