WhatsApp Plans to Roll Out New Drawing Tools

WhatsApp is reportedly planning to introduce a new drawing editor interface that will include new drawing tools and features. The iOS beta version of the app has already received this feature, whereas iOS version 22.8.0.73 will soon receive it.

At the moment, the Meta-owned instant messenger is rolling out a new drawing interface for some beta testers. It will announce more activations for the feature after more users install the updated drawing interface. According to the report, WhatsApp will introduce three new features for its drawing interface. These include a blur tool and two pencils. This report also contained a screenshot exhibiting the new feature in much detail.

WhatsApp users who installed the latest beta installed from the Play Store can use the new drawing tools. If your WhatsApp app does not have the updated drawing editor, it is perhaps not available for your specific WhatsApp account. Don’t worry! The company has another rollout for more WhatsApp accounts at a later date. 

Furthermore, WhatsApp will make changes to the way it saves photos and videos on the platform. The instant messaging app will automatically turn off the media visibility option for disappearing chats used on the Android version. It will help ensure that the media files shared on WhatsApp disappearing messages feature remain secret. 

The app rolls out the same feature on the WhatsApp version for iOS. With the latest update, the instant-messaging app on iOS devices will turn off the Save Camera Roll for disappearing chats. Accordingly, you will not have shared images, videos, and GIFs saved on your smartphones if your disappearing messages mode is on. But, WhatsApp users can still save media manually in disappearing messages. This move will roll out to all users on beta and public versions. Experts say WhatsApp should bring these changes into effect within a 24-hour timeframe. 

As mentioned earlier, WhatsApp is soon to introduce three drawing features, including two new pencils and a blur gizmo. The instant messenger for iOS already has a blur tool on its drawing tools. So what is the latest update in the drawing editor interface when using these tools? Some beta testers already have the drawing editor with new tools in the updated interface. More activations of WhatsApp are soon to receive these new drawing features at a later date. This update will be available on WhatsApp beta for many people with Android devices. It will also introduce a new changelog when more WhatsApp accounts receive the feature. 

Lately, a report by WhatsApp confirmed that the company is planning to release a new feature that will let its users identify when a document gets fully downloaded on their smartphones. The report further revealed that some Argentinean users tested the ability to share media files of 2GB. It shows that the competency is not available to more people and is still limited to those users who have already tested it. WhatsApp users are anticipating the availability of the new drawing editor on their device will not take long, and they will be able to benefit from it for more effective chats in solo or group chats.
