Apple appeared to work on a redesigned HomePod that will sound and look close to the old. According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to release the latest electronic speaker in 2023.
In comparison to the previous HomePod, which was removed from the market last year, the latest product is also to be energized with an S8 processor, which would also power Apple’s upcoming Watch the series 8. It continues to remain but let’s see how strong this chip will be in comparison to the original HomePod’s A8 processor. Furthermore, Gurman appears to believe the latest HomePod would have the latest top display with multi-touch capacity.
Apple announced last year that the real HomePod would no longer be available for purchase. In 2017, the Siri voice assistant made its first appearance. Amidst the Apple company and excellent sound quality, the Device was a flop. The HomePod made its debut at $349, putting it close to the top of the smart device price range. After one year, the cost was lowered to $299, it also did not help Apple stock the device to the general public. Apple released the relatively small, less expensive HomePod mini for $100 in 2020, which was well-received both critical and commercial. In fact, according to reports, the mini HomePod was indeed the winning product smart device in the first third of the current year, outselling both Google’s Nest mini and Amazon’s Echo Dot.
The latest speaker has already been expected for days or weeks, but the issue is how and at which cost Apple will market the revamped HomePod. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Reportedly working on another HomePod. Comparable to Amazon’s Echo Show 10, it may be a digital device that manages to combine a FaceTime camera, Apple TV, and HomePod.
However, the redesigned HomePod may be an innovative product Apple plans to release in the following months. According to reports, Apple is working on several new products, such as four latest iPhone models, a new iPad lineup, Macs M2/M3 up-to-date, a new Apple TV model, a new HomePod, and 2nd AirPods Pro.
This new HomePod, codenamed B620, will be powered by the S8 processor from the upcoming Apple Smart 8 chip. Although Gurman claims in another section of the mailing list that such a chip would have the same specs as the 2019 – 20 S6 processing unit from the Apple Watch Series 6, it’s uncertain how much better it will undertake than the A8 chip in the initial HomePod.
