The Aerox 5 is an intriguing addition to the SteelSeries mouse lineup, being a super duper wireless option that appears to promise it all.
On the surface, SteelSeries has improved on the already excellent SteelSeries Aerox 3 by giving it a bit distinct shape, more buttons, and some other features.
Is it, however, as remarkable in use as on paper? Let’s look into it.
Quick Overview
The SteelSeries Aerox 5 is a fantastic mouse that we had a lot of fun gaming with during our testing. Sure, the flick switch has its quirks, and the slightly shiny buttons may irritate some, but it still checks a lot of boxes.
It has all of the characteristics that gamers want, such as a decent specs list, a reasonable battery, a lighter weight frame, and a plethora of customizable and tweakable buttons.
people especially like the ergonomic principles of this mouse, particularly the way the body drives up into ones side when you play, as well as the comfort provided by its shape.

The SteelSeries Aerox 5 appears to be just another lighter weight gaming mouse with openings in it. A closer look reveals that there is more heading on in here. This is a 9-button mouse with an unusual layout and design.
Notwithstanding the its approximately symmetrical shape, it’s an ergonomic correct mouse with an attractive design. There’s a small decline on the edge where your thumb rests, allowing you to nestle into it comfortably. The frame is also taller than the Aerox 3, which means it drives up into your palm more satisfyingly and is easier to grip.
Buttons
The side buttons, on the other hand, are a little slick, which could be a problem if you have particularly wet or oily fingers all through your gaming sessions. Nonetheless, they jut out nicely, making them easy to people felt and use. We have got no issues with the layout.
