Sony has announced that it is in the process of launching its own gaming gears for the gaming community.
Sony is Aiming Higher in the Gaming Sector
Sony, one of the largest electronics and home appliance makers in the world has decided to go big within the gaming gears industry. So far, Sony had limited its exposure within the gaming industry with the introduction of its Sony PlayStation consoles.
Now, Sony is aiming higher as it is also in the process of launching headsets, computer monitors, and other gears that are specifically for the gaming community.
According to the executives at Sony, the PC gaming industry is extremely lucrative and over time, its demand is growing tremendously. With the incorporation of the metaverse and blockchain technology into gaming, the gaming sector has grown even more attractive.
Therefore, more people are willing to interact with it. Most importantly, the gaming industry has also become a lucrative source for individuals to generate huge incomes. The play-to-earn (P2E) modules introduced into the gaming sector have also attracted many people to the gaming industry.
Quite astonishingly, the gaming sector has a user base that is more than a billion. This is the reason why Sony is compelled to explore its business into the gaming sector, especially the PC gaming industry.
Gears Being Launched by Sony
Sony executives have revealed some of the gears and gadgets they have designed and launched specifically for the gaming sector. These products include Inzone monitors. For now, Sony has launched two versions of the Inzone monitors including Inzone M9 and Inzone M3. These monitors are priced at $900 and $530 respectively.
Sony has also launched its line of headphones. These headphones include Inzone H9, Inzone H7, and Inzone H3. These headsets are priced at $300, $230, and $100.
Sony executives have confirmed that they are planning to bring these products into the retail shops later in the summer season. The gaming community can pre-order them from the online store of Sony.
Sony is Messing with the Gaming Giants
For years, the gaming industry is ruled by some of the major gaming gear manufacturing giants. These companies include Razer, ASUS, and Lenovo. Although there are hundreds of companies trying to make their way into the industry but these giants’ influence is tremendous in the sector.
With Sony entering the gaming market, it is expected that for the first time in years, these giants will find someone that is as strong as they are.
So far, the announcement hasn’t helped Sony gain much in the stock market. Instead, the share prices for Sony ended up taking a -1.49% hit in the stock mark. However, once its products hit the retail shops, they will definitely help Sony recover the losses it is facing in the story markets today.
