Introduction
The Gigabyte G5 is an unexpected game console, but you won’t be able to comprehend its unique features based on appearance or touch. From the outside, it appears to be quite ordinary.
Gigabyte purposefully used a 10th-generation Intel processor to save money. It’s old now, it was old when this Gigabyte G5 model was introduced.
However, in the sense of this laptop, this decision makes sense. It means you can get an Nvidia RTX 3060 computer for around £950; at the moment of a review, the model was available online for less than £800.
- Simple and sensible layout
- Some connectors on the back
- Weight 2.1kg in the middle
The Gigabyte G5 is a straightforward laptop. The case has no vertical slats, no RGB strips, and no especially extravagant fan grilles. Since this computer isn’t in the greater Aero or Aorus sequence, even the Gigahertz emblem on the lid seems to be simple.
If you’re looking for game player flair, look no further than the keyboard. Although there is only one zone, it has a distinguishable lettering and an RGB backlight. This implies that the entire keyboard must be the same color. There are only 15 colors to choose from, not the entire rainbow.
Audio Quality
Gigabyte G5 Evaluation The Gigabyte G5’s presenters, like its touchpad, are present since a laptop must have them. The audio quality is poor, with no true representation of the highest and lowest frequency bands. Boxy, flat, and timid, with an upper-midrange that can clump into ear-grating harsh realities when combined with vocalists in some songs.
- The picture quality is excellent.
- Good brightness
- a worthy contrast
The Gigabyte G5’s exterior design is unsurprising, but the display exceeds our expectations. This is a High Definition “IPS-level” 15.6-inch panel with such a test used to check of 144Hz.
Color reproduction is outstanding for a low-cost gaming laptop. It is 100% sRGB (114% by volume), 80.8% DCI-P3, and 74.8% Adobe RGB compliant.
After definitely expecting only incomplete sRGB coverage, Gigabyte has done something special here. Although it isn’t a true broad gamut showcase, it looks fantastic in-service user.
Display
- Color reproduction that is accurate
- Brightness is adequate.
- A worthy contrast
The Gigabyte G5’s exterior design is unsurprising, but the showcase is far superior to our expectations. A 15.6-inch Full HD “IPS-level” panel with a framerate of 144Hz is used.
For a low-cost gaming laptop, color performance is excellent. It is 100% sRGB (114% by volume), 80.8% DCI-P3, and 74.8% Adobe RGB compatible.
After clearly expecting only partial sRGB coverage, Gigabyte has done something unique here. Although it is not a truly wide range of available displays, it looks fantastic in person.
A contrast ratio of 1100:1 is acceptable, and the highest brightness of 334 nits is already above estimate for a budget gaming laptop. The Gigabyte G5’s appeal is built around this screen, which is better compared to the greater expertise costly MSI Stealth 15M we recently reviewed.
Techniques to control are adequate but not exceptional, as one would expect from a board of this caliber. Other features are standard gaming laptop fodder. The screen cannot be pushed back that far – only to the standard laptop angle – and the screen ground is matte.
