The Huawei MateBook 16s is a huge laptop that really is perfect for anyone who works in multiple tabs. Its fast 12th-Gen Intel central processing unit also allows it to handle multiple efficiency tasks at the same time.
- MateBook’s design remains unchanged.
- Large port selection Clicky keyboard
The new Huawei MateBook 16s looks neat and sophisticated, just like every other MateBook. It’s similar to Apple’s MacBook line of laptop computers, with introspective marketing on the rear that wouldn’t look awful in a workplace or school setting.
The MateBook 14s is available in a lovely Spruce Green color, and the business has revealed that more colorways will be coming in the near future, that also gives hope for upcoming updates.
Regardless of the increasing dislike for Space Grey, the steel design is very well executed, and the computer feels well constructed, with a sturdy hinge and a dependable chassis that only bends others within whenever a lot of pressure is implemented.
It averages 1.99kg, which is quite big for its size. If you require a lighter 16-inch laptop, consider the Huawei MateBook D 16, which tips the scales 1.7kg, or the 16-inch LG Gram 16, which tips the scales only 1.2kg.
Screen
- 16-inch touchscreen display
- Brightness of over 300 nits
- Pixel density: 25201680
One of the most appealing features of the Huawei MateBook 16s is its huge 16-inch display. It has a 90% display ratio, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 25201680 resolution. It provides sufficient lateral space to operate with various tabs clear, and the slender bezels give it a more top-quality appearance than some bulkier laptop computers on the market.
The pixel density is higher than that of a standard Full HD (19201080) display, and it was bright enough just to watch mainstream press on. At this price, we wouldn’t expect OLED or 4K options, and it’s thought that this will suffice for most Netflix obsessive sessions.
Performance
- Performance Includes a 12th-generation Intel processor but no discrete GPU options.
- Rapid load times
The Huawei MateBook 16s has three CPU options: the 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H, the 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H, and the 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H. My model came only with i7 processor.
The H-Series of Intel processors provide excellent processing performance, as demonstrated by my assessments. The laptop worked flawlessly with multiple tabs open at the same time, as well as diverse applications such as Browsers, Spotify, YouTube, and Slack.
Battery Duration
In the YouTube test, the 84Wh battery lasted 7 hours and 34 minutes.
Unfortunately, having an amazingly strong central processing unit comes with a cost.
To determine how long the computer could last, we looped a YouTube 1080p video (at 50% screen brightness) for seven hours and 34 minutes. That’s a disappointing result, considering the LG Gram 16 lasted just under 11 hours in a similar experiment.
