Pokemon will continue its anime series without its primary characters, Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, in 2022. These protagonists will leave the series after a 25-year association. According to Pokemon producers, they will bring a new adventure series with new faces in April next year.
Sarah Notochenny Says Ash Will Live in the Hearts
Pokemon has used English voiceover done by Sarah Notochenny for Ash Ketchum and other protagonists for many years. The actress takes the opportunity to give vocal services as an extraordinary privilege to be a part of Pokemon featuring Ash. Sarah said regardless of what lies beyond Ash’s final chapter, he will stay forever in the hearts of generations to come.
The Japanese anime show has also produced many movies. Ash appeared as a Pokemon master trainer in his quest in 1997 after he got together with Pikachu – an electric mouse creature, in his 10th year of existence. Ash reportedly completed his final quest by winning the Pokemon’s World Championship.
Fresh Protagonists To Be On Air Next SpringÂ
Viewers will meet two new characters – a boy named Roy and a girl named Liko, accompanying three Paldea starters Pokemon from next spring. The producers told the media Pokemon will have everything audiences love about the anime series, including friendship, adventure, action, and Pokemon.
Pokemon Journeys in the West, an 11-episode series, will be on air on 13 January 2023. Viewers are excited about the episode as it will reveal the final chapter of the beautiful story comprising Ash Ketchum and his loyal Pikachu.
Fans Expressed Joy Over Ash’s Victory
Fans paid tributes to Sarah Natochenny, who voiced over Ash’s character from Veronica Taylor till the end of the series in response to her message online. The lead character of the anime series, Ash Ketchum, is also the victor of the World Championship of Pokemon.
Fans expressed happiness at Ash becoming the world’s most powerful Pokemon trainer. It is exciting to see the victory more than twenty-five-year period after Pokemon drew viewers’ attention with its first episode.
The Pokemon franchise has included an iconic mobile game- landmark Pokemon Go, through Augmented Reality and online maps to position the protagonists in real-world sites. The Japanese video game has already sold more than 10 million copies of Nintendo Switch since its release in November.
Pokemon Congratulate Ash
Pokemon’s official Twitter account posted a message to congratulate Ash for receiving around 200,000 likes. Pokemon originated as a video game and has been on-air for more than 1,200 episodes. Viewers have watched Ash train as he wanted to become the most powerful Pokemon trainer in his story, spanning over 25 years. The Pokemon trainers in the series catch the pocket monster and fight them.
Ash, the lead man of the series, turned 25 and got his card traded for the big reward. Most seasons of Pokemon followed his journey across numerous fictional regions to catch Pokemon as he wanted to achieve eight gym badges to be eligible for Pokemon League.
