Microsoft has unveiled its new Windows 11 Enterprise with its downloadable image files online. The software company allows users to use the images free of charge to run a virtual machine temporarily. It also supports Hyper-V, Parallels, VMWare, and VirtualBox.
Redmond company displays the virtual machines on its official website. It shows images for numerous virtualization programs with a 20-gigabyte downloadable file size. Besides the operating system, the image files comprise many applications. The Windows App SDK, Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition, Azure, UWP, and .Net Desktop come preinstalled, allowing developers to use them to work.
Developers integrated the Windows Terminal and the WSL2 into the Virtual Machines. The operating system has the developer mode already activated from the beginning. The company allows visitors to use all images directly after the download without having to configure them first. Furthermore, developers do not require a Microsoft account during the installation process.
The company allows developers to use virtual machines free of cost for a limited time. The website will keep downloadable image files accessible to the public until 12 April 2023. Afterward, users will require a regular license if Windows 11 Enterprise needs continuous use.
The edition primarily aims to cater to business customers’ needs. It is available for a higher price than the previous versions: the Home & Pro. While no official downgrade is available, users can switch to a cheaper version afterward.
Microsoft Adds New Cloud Storage Features to Windows 11 beta
The software company introduced two new offerings for Windows 11 beta PCs and laptops. Microsoft will make the downloads available for the Galaxy Book besides rolling out the latest beta version of Windows 11 with several great features, including cloud storage.
The operating system has some visual modifications to the OneDrive storage. Apart from it, the Windows 11 beta comprises a new combined cloud storage that represents the individual storage for all services on the personal computer. Microsoft will notify users whenever they run low on cloud storage.
In addition to the storage feature, the visual modification includes the Outlook attachment information. The company has also replaced the network troubleshooter with the Get Help section. Users do not need to sign in for the widgets. They can get information on the weather, pin widgets, and review feeds without needing a Microsoft account.
Microsoft also highlights some improvements and modifications for Windows 11 beta version. The operating system has several fixes matching the task manager, system tray, and taskbar.  Windows 11 beta version 22621.1180 has default turned-off features. A new setting page for cloud storage and other improvements for widgets allows users to accompany both betas. It has a new page for troubleshooting network issues.
