Magic Eraser has made its way to iOS and Android devices after it became one of the best editing features of Google Pixel. Google revealed that the popular AI-powered tool would be a part of the Google One subscription.
The paid tool helps users remove unwanted content from pictures through Artificial Intelligence technology. It is already a part Google Pixel subscription. Now Google One subscription will offer a handful of other editing tools like exclusive collage styles, HDR video effects, and many more.
Google began a subscription to Google One as a tool to pay for extra cloud storage for materials, including Gmail, Docs, and Photos. It has expanded over the years and become an exclusive set of features, including a VPN and other subscribers-only perks, hosting a Google Meet’s lengthier video call, and other Google Photos features. They also include Portrait Light to soften the background and adjust the brightness and light position on the subject’s face.
Exclusive Suit of Google Photos Perks
Google Photos Perks emerge as an exclusive set of features. The company aimed to expand it by rolling out Magic Eraser and other additions. Google One subscribers will get Magic Eraser on iOS and Android. The feature was previously available in Google Pixel 6 and 7. The company will roll out it to Google Pixel 5A and older Pixel phones without subscribing to Google One.
While many third-party apps offer tools to remove unnecessary content from images, Magic Eraser brings functionality to the primary Photos apps for Androids. Most iPhone users also prefer using the app over Apple’s Photos.
Google One subscription will also give subscribers access to the latest HDR video effect to balance dark forefronts and bright experiences. The feature is similar to the Effect feature available for Google Photos. Moreover, the collage editor of Google Photos has gained numerous new Styles and lets users apply a Style to only a single image in the collage. Google will make it available for Pixel owners and One subscriber.
Lastly, Google One subscription includes free shipping for subscribers who order photo prints from online stores in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and European Union countries. It might not be worth paying individually for each feature, but the exclusive package offered other perks, such as additional storage, sync, and backup options. All these pros have ranked Google One’s subscription at the top in the online app stores.
Last year, data.ai noticed Google One app at n the No. 6 non-game app worldwide in terms of consumer spending. It has a No. 8 ranking in the United States, though most customers have bought the subscription for additional storage and backup.
According to Google, besides Magic Eraser, features like collage Styles and the HDR effect would release in a day, though not every user will get it worldwide in the coming weeks. However, the company has already begun free online delivery for printed photos.
Besides Magic Eraser, the Camouflage function will also be part of Google One’s subscription. It allows you to desaturate potentially distracting background objects instead of removing them from the image. Google Pixel owners do not need a subscription plan to benefit from these features.
