A competitively the early OnePlus flagship phones had made a name in the market because they had top end specifications and their price was a lot less than their competition. While the company may have put those days behind, the OnePlus 11 is undoubtedly a competitively priced Android device that boasts a large screen, great cameras, amazing performance and long software support.
Design and build
Even though it is a large device, you will find that the OnePlus 11 feels slim and compact, even if you have small hands. This is due to its curved display and rounded edges. The phone is just 8.5mm thick, so you will not have a problem in putting it in your pocket. The back is a matt glass finish that will not show any fingerprints and a Gorilla Glass 5 has been used, while the front has a Gorilla Glass Victus.
The OnePlus 11 comes with the three-position alert slider that was absent in the 10T. It does not have a headphone jack, but there is a volume rocker on the left side and the right has the power button. The haptics of the phone offer the best vibration feedback you can find on an Android device. The camera design of the handset is quite eye-catching, as it is a black circle with little bits of silver.
It also boasts the ‘Hasselblad’ logo to highlight the partnership of the two companies. At 205g, the phone does not feel very heavy despite its size.
Screen and speakers
A 6.7 inch AMOLED screen makes up the OnePlus 11 that has a 3216 x 1440 QHD+ resolution, which supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. This means the camera can offer excellent colors and things are always looking sharp. The display boasts LTPO 3.0 technology, which means its refresh rate can vary. It can increase to 120Hz when you are scrolling, or playing games, but can come down to 1Hz for saving battery life.
The screen has a 20.1:9 aspect ratio and is just 74mm wide, which makes it easy to hold any way you want. The earpiece has dual stereo speakers on the bottom of the device and they have a decent volume. Support for Dolby Atmos is also available, which you can enjoy via Bluetooth headphones.
Specs and performance
The OnePlus 11 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is one of the most powerful chips in the market. This is obvious when you use the phone because it does not skip a beat, no matter what you use it for. Whether you are multi-tasking between various apps, playing top end games that have complex graphics, or you are engaging in video calls while watching videos in split screen, it remains smooth as ever.
This is also because of the 16GB RAM. The OnePlus 11 also has ‘RAM Vita’, the company’s machine learning development, which it claims can speed up everything.
The Verdict
The OnePlus 11 offers significantly better cameras than earlier and the 5,000mAh battery also allows you a full day use. The svelte device can be a good investment when you are looking for an Android device that has the top specs.
