BeReal has introduced its latest Bonus BeReal feature in the United Kingdom in the first phase. The new feature will let you post more than once every day. It indicates that you will get two Bonus posts if you can upload on time within the two-minute daily window.
If you cannot make it during the window, you will get the option to post one additional post. You can post Bonus BeReal whenever you wish to do so. The company will roll out in other countries soon BeReal emerged last year and went viral because of its refreshingly authentic approach to the social media sphere. It prompts all users at a random time about their chance to BeReal. Some say it is the time when users should stop what they are doing and click a few pictures to share them with their friends within two minutes.
Unlike other social media, you can view BeReal posts of individuals folding laundry or watching movies on the sofa besides seeing the highlights of your friends’ activities on their Instagram stories. Although some users accept the reminder that there is much more available to life than their most picturesque moments, others choose to wait and post their everyday BeReal when they do something exciting, which somehow damages the purpose of promoting authenticity. It also makes users bored to see that you or your friends are at work on Friday.
BeReal’s Bonus PostsÂ
According to a BeReal blog post, its notification goes off before users are out to dinner, at a concert, or conversing with friends and family. They struggle with whether they post their content late or completely miss the precious moment. The Bonus BeReal feature works similarly to a concession that users post late because the consequences of not benefiting from the two-minute window are significantly minimal.
The company will get incentives to post content on time if it can manage to post on time. They will get the freedom to post two Bonus BeReal to boost engagement and shift the platform’s culture.
It was not usual to see the team behind the impromptu photo-sharing app quiet when BeReal took over the app store chart and experienced copycat features from Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok.
The company did not comment on the press record and refused to disclose anything about the app.
Besides announcing the Bonus BeReal, the company has also broken its silence by revealing that it has reached the milestone of twenty million daily active users, known as DAUs. Some media sources say BeReal had twenty million DAUs in October 2022. They also learned that the social media company concluded a $60 million Series B at a $587 million estimate.
Tech analysts say the DAU figure of twenty million can be a sign of additional confirmation of the data they had six months ago. It could also be an indication of slowed growth over time. On the other hand, BeReal denies the previous reports encircling its app’s DAU, calling it inaccurate. It claims to have enjoyed consciously steady growth.
