Hence, the TV does not require additional power to generate brighter images. You will get stunning image quality thanks to the top processor that has AI technologies and brightness boosting algorithms. The premium finish and design of the G3 is also appealing.
Design and Features
Considering the price tag, the G3 OLED from LG certainly impresses. The metallic panel wrap gives off a luxurious look and the connectivity and speakers have been cleverly accommodated. Since it has to be wall mounted, the box does not come with a conventional stand. There is a wall mount given, which fits quite well on the back. Since lightweight composite fiber has been used in its construction, the G3 is not heavy at all.
When it comes to connectivity, the rear boasts three USB jacks, a digital optical audio output, Ethernet for supporting Wi-Fi and four HDMI 2.1 ports, which are 4K 120Hz enabled. LG has also group streaming services for convenience and folders called Quick Cards have been introduced for organizing apps according to content.
Picture Quality
Whether it is native 4K or HD content, the G3 truly delivers exceptional picture, as everything is thoroughly detailed and the color fidelity and gradations are excellent. This is due to the use of powerful α9 AI Processor Gen6. The HDR performance is also exceptional, considering the use of both advanced software and hardware, such as the Brightness Booster Max technology and Light Control Architecture.
There are a variety of picture modes available, such as Game, Standard, Sports, Cinema, ISF Expert settings, Filmmaker mode and Vivid. Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10 are supported and latency is also impressive.
Sound Quality
The G3 uses a 4.2 speaker configuration, even if there is no obvious sound system. The AI powered sound mode offers clear sound and matches it with the content. The volume of various frequencies is also automatically adjusted and this is also appealing because it helps balance the sound.
The Verdict
The LG G3 is available in a total of four screen sizes, which include 55, 65, 77 and 83 inch models and they are priced at $2,499, $3,299, $4,499 and $6,499, respectively. It might seem pricey, but this is because it is an absolute stunner that offers extremely dynamic images and an unmatched level of detail. It is quite sensational when you are looking for a home cinema option.
