The first phone to offer super-fast charging speeds is none other than the Realme GT 3, which can give you a full battery in just 10 minutes. But, there are other features that are also of interest with the phone scheduled to release in May or June of this year.
Design and build
Realme has put the days of garish branding behind it and has opted for a sporty touch for its latest GT device. The GT 3 is available in two colors, which are Booster Black and Pulse White. The Realme logo is really subtle on the bottom left-hand corner, while the phone has a matt and smooth finish. The camera module is a huge one that takes up the top third of the phone’s back.
There is a window on the right hand side of the camera module, which is a bit bizarre, as it shows a fake version of the NFC antenna and the Snapdragon chip. There is a rectangular RBG light that surrounds it and it glows in various colors. For instance, it will pulse red when the phone needs to charge and light up green when you get a message.
You can turn this feature off as it drains the battery faster. The phone is relatively lightweight and slim, given that it weighs 199g and is 8.9mm thick. Since the body is plastic, it means that it will not get damaged because of accidental drops. The back is glass and it comes with a USB-C port for charging. This means that you will have to use Bluetooth for headphones. There is a dual-SIM version of the device also available in different regions.
Screen and speakers
There is a 6.74in AMOLED display used in the Realme GT 3, which comes with a resolution of 2772 x 1250, which is certainly better than similarly priced rival devices. It is a dazzling and bright display. You can run it at 60Hz, 144Hz or go with auto mode, which can choose different refresh rates depending on what you are doing.
The phone has clipped and short haptics and you have the option of turning them off completely, or changing their intensity. The vibrations appear to be a bit on the quieter side. There is also a fingerprint sensor under the display and there is also the option of face recognition. The stereo speakers have a punchy and loud sound, but don’t offer much where bass tones are concerned.
Specs and battery
There is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with different options in RAM and storage, starting with 8GB, 12GB, 16GB for the former and 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB for the latter. It offers great overall performance and the GT 3 is great for casual gaming as well as scrolling and other day-to-day tasks.
This is the first device to come with 240W fast charging. You have to use the dual GaN(Gallium Nitride) mini charger that comes with a custom charging cable. You also need to turn off RBG lighting and turn on ‘smart rapid charging’. It can take you around 10 to 11 minutes to go from 1% to a completely full battery.
The Verdict
The Realme GT 3 is the device to buy if you want superfast charging. It also comes with a capable processor, great screen and a decent camera.
Itís hard to come by well-informed people in this particular topic, but you sound like you know what youíre talking about! Thanks
