If you are looking for a compact keyboard that is not too expensive, then the Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380S is what you need to check out. It comes with five color options and you can also find dedicated versions available for both Mac and PC. Plus, there are other features of this keyboard that make it an attractive option.
Design and build
If you travel frequently or have a small desk, the Logictech Pebble Keys 2 K380S is the perfect fit because as compared to other models in the market, it is quite small. It measures 124 x 279 x 16 mm and is also extremely lightweight. It weighs just 415g and you can carry it around without any people.
Logitech has very impressive colorways and it shows in this device as well. It is available in white, sand, blue,and black and pink. Even though it is made of plastic, the material is clean, neat and does not pick up any such marks. The keyboard is made of recycled materials, which is certainly a plus, but it does not feel cheap in any way.
The device remains stable due to the four little rubber nubs on the bottom. But, there are no adjustable feet given. You can use it throughout the day comfortably, but there is no ergonomic support provided. It also comes with useful buttons for using emojis, taking screenshots and enabling dictation mode.
Connection and performance
You can connect the Logictech Pebble Keys 2 K380S in two ways. A Logitech Bolt receiver can be used, or you can go for Bluetooth. If you buy the keyboard and mouse combo, the receiver is included, or else you have to buy it separately. It has a responsive and speedy connection and it can be connected to three devices.
Bluetooth connectivity can be used for more devices, including Chromebooks and Android and iOS devices as well. You can switch between devices easily and quickly due to the shortcuts that are given on the top left of the keyboard.
While the keys are quiet and do not rattle, they are not fully silent. It also has a shallow travel distance, similar to a laptop. You can use the Logitech Options+ app for customizing some keys and checking battery level. You can assign various commands, including keyboard shortcuts and some other ‘smart actions’. But, bear in mind that the app only lets you change ten Fn keys on the keyboard.
Battery Life
The long battery life that the Logictech Pebble Keys 2 K380S offers is one of its biggest selling points. According to the company, the keyboard can last for about 3 years, or 36 months. It comes with AAA batteries and you will have to change them for charging it. There is no cable given to charge the keyboard.
The Verdict
The Logictech Pebble Keys 2 K380S keyboard is priced at $39.99 and given that it has a long battery life, a compact design and user-friendly software, it seems to be a good package.
