But, it is the self-cleaning function that most will find appealing because it can rinse out dirty channels and also its brush roller.
Design and build
In terms of aesthetics, the Tineco Floor One S5 Extreme Smart Cordless Vacuum & Wash is very sleek, while other hard floor cleaners have a more utilitarian design. Instead of bright colors, its finishing is in dark blue and grey glossy plastic. It comes with a digital display, is slim and also has only a few buttons and flourishes. Even though it has a slim appearance, carrying it around is a bit difficult because it is a tad weighty. It weighs 4.5 kg and it measures 110 x 27.5 x 25 cm.
The handle has a trio of buttons for on/off mode and self-cleaning, while the digital display is on top of the body. Deciphering it does take a bit of time. A long bar shows how much suction power is in usage of the machine. The largest part of the display indicates the battery power as a percentage in numbers. The auto mode allows you clean for 35 minutes when the charging is full. The edge of the display has an illuminated ring that changes color from blue to red and vice versa when you clean only with water.

It comes with three modes; suction to be used for drying wet floors and dealing with spills, auto that increases power when dealing with dirt and max that gives you full power. You also have the option of switching between cleaning with plain water, or the supplied cleaning solution.
The voice guidance is also useful, even if it seems gimmicky. You do not have to squint at the digital display because you can take advantage of it. If you do not like voice prompts, you can disable them. In terms of usability, the cleaner can clean fresh spills quickly and easily. It is best for regular cleaning rather than periodic cleaning.
The Floor One S5 Extreme Smart Cordless Vacuum & Wash also comes with Wi-Fi, so you can connect it to an app. It will show you all the information you can see on the display and also allows you to change modes when you are cleaning.
