There was a time when Samsung was focused on LCDs, but now the company seems to have shifted to OLED TV technology and its QE65S95D flagship Quantum Dot OLED is a rather impressive progression over its already excellent predecessor.
Design
The QE65S95D proves to be the best-looking OLED TV that Samsung has made as yet because it is remarkably slim and has a gorgeous futuristic feel. It has such a narrow screen that it does not distract you from the pictures you are watching. The rear of the TV is not even a centimeter deep and thanks to this uniform depth, the company is able to create a monolithic look, which is extremely eye-catching.
As compared to previous OLED designs, you will find the QE65S95D well-built, rigid and sturdy. It comes with an external One Connect box that contains the connections and processing systems of the TV. You can use a single cable to attach the said box to the TV and it supplies power as well as sound information to the TV. Due to the slim screen and the single cable One Connect connection, you can hang this TV on the wall.

It is able to disperse both strong and ambient artificial light sources effectively. It gives the screen a reflection-free, matt finish. Gamers will find that the QE65S95D supports 4K/120Hz games, with all four HDMI ports offering variable refresh rates. The onscreen menu has a Game Hub that brings all gaming sources together, making it easy for you to navigate.
Samsung’s Tizen system provides the smart features and it manages to deliver a considerable amount of content. You can find almost every streaming app available and different profiles can be made by every member of the household. The Object Tracking Sound technology that Samsung has incorporated benefits the audio and the speakers around the TV’s frame deliver excellent sound.
Picture Quality
The picture quality of the QE65S95D seems outstanding and this is primarily due to the immense brightness. The HDR images explode on the screen in a way that only premium LCD TVs did before. The contrast performance is also impressive, as both dark and light images offer an intensity not seen before.
The color balance is also exceptional and is quite noticeable when you are using the Movie preset. The color definition allows the screen to pain 4K pictures that boast great sharpness and clarity.

The Samsung QE65S95D is an excellent start to the company’s OLED season this year, thanks to its processing power and brightness to an already brilliant contrast and color.
