Logitech has finally launched the sequel of its most versatile and portable keyboard. Keys-To-Go 2 has been designed as a stowable and small keyboard that can work with a variety of platforms. It is one of the best wireless keyboards in the competitive market.
Design
One of the most slender keyboards from Logitech, the Keys-To-Go 2 is a great board you can carry around. It has rounded edges and has a more modern and funkier aesthetic than other options out there. You can also get it in a number of colors, including black, white and lilac. It has chassis is made of a sturdy plastic and there is also a dust cover available with it. Since it is very slender, you can keep it in a bag and take it with you everywhere.
A dust cover has been integrated into the keyboard and it is very soft and boasts the Logitech logo. The keyboard has a 65% layout, which is more than functional. Logitech has also made some prominent changes in the function row keys. While the changes may be small, they can be handy when you want to do things. For instance, it has added a dedicated key for emojis and one to open the snipping tool. You are also provided three buttons you can use to switch between paired devices.
The Keys-To-Go 2 has a remarkably simple interface. The back has an on/off switch, but there is no USB-C port for wired use, or charging.
Performance
Since it has a slender design, it is not possible for Keys-To-Go 2 to have mechanical keys. Logitech has gone for a scissor-actuated membrane mechanism, which allows the keyboard to give a responsive and snappy feel. Even though the keys do not have a lot of travel, they can offer more tactility than you would expect. It feels excellent during typing and you can use it for hours at a time. The smaller layout is also immensely comfortable, but it takes time getting used to the circular keys.
The wireless connectivity options that Keys-To-Go 2 offers are some of the best ones out there. You can use Bluetooth to connect three devices and it is compatible with a variety of devices. It can be connected it with Android, MacBook and even your Windows PC simultaneously. You can easily switch between devices with the Easy Switch button. You can use it with iOS, ChromeOS and iPadOS as well, which makes it extremely versatile.
The battery life of Keys-To-Go 2 is about 36 months, but it uses CR2032 batteries rather than AA or AAA batteries.
Software and Lighting
There is no support for Logitech software or any backlighting for that matter, which is quite disappointing. Since Keys-To-Go 2 does not support Option+ software, you do not have the option to remap the keys or assign profiles. There are also no Smart Actions and the absence of backlighting is frustrating, especially considering the price tag.
The Verdict
If you are in search of a versatile keyboard that is compatible with multiple platforms, the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is an excellent choice.
