The Soundcore AeroFit are open-air true wireless earbuds that are a more affordable option than the AeroFit Pro. Their aim is to deliver sound to your ears without blocking them completely.
Design
The design of the AeroFit is similar to that of the AeroFit Pro. The size and look of the buds is also remarkably similar to the Shokz OpenFit. The color options are limited to white and black, unlike the Pro model. They are also of a solid weight, which means you can feel them, but they are not too heavy to feel uncomfortable when used for longer periods. There is no neckband, as in the case of the Pro model, but they still manage to fit quite well.
As compared to the Pro, you cannot take them swimming with you. But, you can submerge them in water for a bit. Instead of physical controls, you will find that Soundcore has opted to go with touch controls. You can use single, double as well as triple presses for different purposes. You can play and pause audio, skip back and forth, adjust volume controls, or use it for calling your smart assistant. You can use the companion app to assign functions.
The AeroFit come with a matte finish plastic case that boasts a trio of LED lights on the front and the back has a USB-C charging port. There is also a physical pairing button on the back, which also shows the level of charge of the case.
Battery and Charging
The battery is not the same as the Pro version, but it is still quite decent. One downside is that you cannot check the battery level in terms of percentage. They can offer up to 11 hours of battery life after one charge and a fully charged case can give you a battery life of about 42 hours. There is also a fast charging mode available. Charging the buds for 10 minutes can give you listening time of about four hours. You can fully charge the earbuds in a period of one hour.
Sound Quality
The AeroFit boast 14mm drivers that come with EQ presets and custom EQ available in the app, allowing them to deliver a powerful performance. You can boost volume, treble and also take advantage of the podcast mode. Soundcore also offers its Signature EQ as default. You will also find multipoint connectivity available as well as 3D surround sound mode.
The AeroFit has managed to do a great job of striking a balance when it comes to delivering audio, while ensuring you stay aware of your surroundings. Exterior sounds do not overwhelm the buds, especially at louder volumes. The sound is brighter and balanced and bass is quite impressive. The overall clarity is also worth noting. The sound performance is undoubtedly enjoyable and versatile.
The Verdict
If you are looking for a good-looking and affordable pair of open-air earbuds, the Soundcore AeroFit are a good option. They come with a reasonable price tag and actually deliver high quality sound.
