Not everyone can afford to spend a fortune on headphones and this is where the Final UX2000 come in handy. They are the most affordable ones in the series and these noise-cancelling headphones promise class-leading audio, a long battery life and a low latency mode for gaming.
Design
A matte and plainer coating on the earcups due to the absence of Shibo coating set the UX2000 and UX3000 apart. The earcups also have a different shape and the ANC button is now on the right earcup instead of the left. Otherwise, the build quality and fit is very similar. The USX2000 are quite simple, with volume and power controls on the same earcup as the ANC button.
You can locate the controls without any issues and they are easy to press. The power button also doubles as a multi-function button because you can use it for playback. The frame of both the UX2000 and UX3000 is quite similar. This means that while they are tight, they still feel comfortable. Likewise, the headband and the earcups have good padding.
The headphones are also collapsible, which makes them easy to carry around. But, you do not get a carry case. There is a USB-C charging cable provided, along with an analogue cable if you prefer wired use. As far as color options are concerned, you get the choice between cream and black.
Features
The UX2000 offer you basic wireless features, which is to be expected due to the price tag. They do not come with aptX support because they have stuck with AAC and SBC streaming. You get Bluetooth 5.3 support, but support for multiple device connectivity is not available. You will have no complaints about the wireless performance because it is downright excellent. There are no blips or hiccups of any kind.
Battery life has also gotten a boost, as it has gone up to 45 hours from 25 hours. You can also get hybrid active noise-cancellation, but you cannot customize it. The headphones do not have a transparency mode either, but you can turn ANC off. The UX2000 have acceptable call quality, as they can pick up voices, but there is a lot of ambient noise.
Sound Quality
The UX2000 manage to deliver a warm and rich sound, without compromising on detail and clarity, though not on the same level as the UX3000. You have to turn up the volume in case you are looking for greater rhythmic flow and energy. But, higher volumes means that you have to compromise on clarity. Therefore, the sound will seem reserved and quiet.
Switching on noise-cancelling and switching it off does not have a big impact on the overall sound. This means that you will find the headphones consistent, which is another surprise, given that they are budget headphones.
The Verdict
If you are looking for accessible and simple headphones and do not need a lot of customization, then the Final UX2000 are an easy and simple option that you can get in a reasonable price.
