The Medical Device Production Centre at Heriot-Watt College will work collaboratively with InnoScot Health over a 5 year period to hopefully bring new concepts and ideas from health professionals to life.
The strong alliance will start by determining healthcare reform innovations and continuing to develop technology demonstrator medical equipment in collaboration with healthcare professionals, general practitioners, nursing staff, & engineering students.
The MDMC premised at Heriot-Watt College’s Edinburgh site, is a cooperative that contains the Colleges of Edinburgh, Glasgow, as well as Robert Gordon College and helps Scotland’s Enterprises in translating medical equipment notions into commercial applications. Its employees provide technologically endorsed direct exposure to its £2 million specialized production facilities, in addition to free professional guidance on industrial engineering, legal requirements, and financing.
InnoScot Health, previously recognized as Scottish Health Inventions, collaborates with NHS Scotland to assist in the creation and commercialization of clinical products and provide copyright guidance, regulation expert knowledge, and services for project management.
Both organizations will also work together to create joint Constant Professional Growth and development and training courses to even further project wing from both groups in regulatory medical device problems.
It is a defining moment that will function to speed up health care and medical possibilities in the initial example, with massive potential ones that follow.
