Netflix has announced the future launch of Nike Training subclasses to branch out into fitness content. The company will begin streaming Nike Training classes next week.
The fitness training program will have 30 hours of exercise sessions in two batches. It includes all fitness levels of workouts available in numerous languages on every Netflix plan.
Nike Fitness Training Classes on Netflix
Netflix will launch the first batch of Nike fitness training club classes on December 30, 2022, whereas the second batch is due somewhere in the next week. The first batch will have 45 training sessions for Basics, Stronger Core, Vinyasa Yoga, Feel-Good, and HIIT & Strength fitness.
Once the online streaming service releases the classes, it will allow Netflix subscribers to search “Nike” for access to these installments. Nike Training Club has a range of exercise options for all fitness levels.
Workouts like yoga, strength training, and high-intensity exercise led by certified trainers are a part of these workouts. Other workout apps like Peloton or Apple Fitness + have similar features to the Nike Training Club classes.
According to a blog post by Netflix, motivating yourself to work out is not always easy, though the feeling of burning some calories never goes away. Netflix provides several fitness training shows with an appeal so that you see what you can do.
The Latest Netflix Move
Netflix marks another way to branch out from its primary business of television shows and series. The company entered the gaming world with Netflix Games last year. Now it has decided to move towards fitness content.
Since everyone will soon make their New Year’s resolution, keeping fit and exercising a part of it, the release of fitness sessions on Netflix can be the best surprise. The streaming service has an excellent user base, suggesting it can entice people into using the fitness content on their familiar platform.
Depending on the success of fitness training sessions, Netflix may add more content to compete with Peloton and Apple Fitness+. The company may even create its separate fitness content if it gets enough viewers as a viable option.
More Mobile Games
Netflix also rolled out two more mobile games last month, whereas it will release the Valhalla game in 2023. After adding two more games – “Kentucky Route Zero” and “Twelve Minutes” the streaming service platform has forty-eight games. It also has some game releases in the pipeline, such as Valhalla, based on Vikings – a historical drama.
Netflix said it is in the early stage of creating mobile games, and it can take years to build new games. The latest statement indicates the company’s long-term vision for mobile games is far beyond the release of more casual games available to Netflix subscribers after the Netflix Games launch in November 2021.
According to a data report, 1.7 million gaming lovers (less than 1% of streaming subscribers) play Netflix games daily. Netflix aimed to increase this number and establish itself as a genuine player in the gaming world. Mike Verdu, the VP of Gaming at Netflix, revealed the company plans to venture into cloud gaming and has acquired a Seattle-based independent gaming studio named Spry Fox to focus on inviting games.
