The great sound that its gaming headphones deliver have helped Astro stand out in the market, particularly its A50 flagship headset. Now, the company has used the Logitech G brand for rolling out a new headset, which has been named Logitech G Astro A30 and it is a wireless gaming headset. The A30 proves to be a solid option for a headset, given that it has a sleek design and comes with modern features like simultaneous audio playback.
Design
The A30 Wireless comes with a design that is quite similar to the original A30 headset, but it boasts updated connectivity options and controls. It is extremely lightweight due to its plastic build, but will not be a good fit if you are looking for the premium feel. The simultaneous audio playback feature is the most unique aspect of the headset.
The media controls are on the outside of the right ear, which include a button for Bluetooth pairing, a power button, and a small nub for adjusting audio volume, controlling playback for Bluetooth devices and audio mix. You can press it like an actual button, or it works as a 4-way directional control. This makes it a rather unique way of managing the headset’s audio settings.
The left ear comes with a mute toggle and a 3.5mm auxiliary port that you can use to hardwire your connection. You are also given a port for connecting a detachable boom mic that’s needed for multiplayer gaming.

Like other gaming headphones released in the last year, Logitech G Astro A30 comes with Bluetooth playback and also wireless audio via the 2.4GHz USB transmitter. It allows users to engage in gaming with their friends on various platforms, while talking on a Discord call. Thanks to this option, you can also listen to your favorite playlist or a podcast on your phone while gaming on your console.
Another good thing about the A30 Wireless is its compatibility with nearly all modern platforms, including Mac, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series and mobile devices. You can use the USB transmitter for plug-and-play support seamlessly on most devices. If you prefer a hardwired connection, it also comes with a 3.5mm auxiliary port, or you can just use Bluetooth.
Battery life
The good thing about the multipurpose A30 Wireless headset is that it boasts a battery life of almost 27 hours, which is twice of that of A50 and A20. Therefore, this one is the perfect fit for long gaming sessions, or when you want multimedia headphones.
There is a USB-C connector at the bottom of the right ear that can be used for quickly recharging the headphones when they are not in use. If you want to preserve their battery life and make them last longer, you can also choose to hardwire the headphones rather than using the Bluetooth feature.
The Verdict
You will find that the A30 Wireless headphones are excellent for gaming because they can deliver crisp highs and deep base. The music also sounds great and the dual microphones also have a strong sound.
