Linked rolled out its verification tools in April 2023. It has now decided to enhance job posts by incorporating verification tools. Last week, the company announced it would begin demonstrating job post-related verifications and showing verified information related to a job poster or the firm.
Seeing verification on a job post means it has verified and authentic information by LinkedIn or its partners. The job poster containing the verified information will confirm if it has affiliated with a company’s official page. It will also indicate the post has verified workplace or work email and their government identity via the security identity platform CLEAR.
According to LinkedIn, the company has launched verifications to help users confidently search and allow hiring managers to build trust with future employees. It has just rolled out verifications on job posters. As LinkedIn expands access to its free verification tools, it will enable users to see more jobs than they explore.

LinkedIn Verification Tools
The company has partnered with a secure identity organization called CLEAR, aiming to offer verification tools for U.S.-based LinkedIn users. They can display their CLEAR-verified identity, which they can obtain by providing their government-issued ID and contact number. Your LinkedIn profile will show a Verifications section beneath the Message button after your identification gets verified.
Global LinkedIn users can also verify their workplace with their work email ID. They need to insert a verification code LinkedIn sends them to their email address to confirm their workplace. The employment-based social media company says the new feature will be handy for over 4,000 companies registered on its platform. More companies will also be able to access the verification tools over time.
LinkedIn partnered with Microsoft to allow companies to influence the MS Entra Verified ID medium to provide eligible users with free digital work IDs. The company will make this option accessible to many participating organizations reaching over 2m LinkedIn members by the end of the month. According to LinkedIn, the company aims to give its users the confidence to connect through these new free tools. You can also confidently present trusted and authentic content to your potential employers.
According to a blog post published by LinkedIn, while not every global member will access these verification options, the company will increase the accessibility and participation ways for users. It will keep users updated as it continues launching more handy features like these.

Twitter offers its paid verification with the Blue checkmark subscription for $8 per month, with access to other benefits, such as fewer advertisements. It is worth mentioning that these verification features as the new ways to verify users’ email and phone numbers. Unlike the newly announced options, which will have a prominent space on your LinkedIn profile, you do not see these verification options displayed with the relevant badges.
