The company has presented the update via the TestFlight beta program to roll out the WhatsApp version up to 23.11.0.76. Once you install the latest updates on your iOS device, you may find a change in the group chat. The new calling icon will appear in the chat header on your WhatsApp app.
The enabled calling button in group chats will appear differently. The app will allow you to make group call, though the call button will accompany a context menu. The icon’s menu will give you two choices to make a call on WhatsApp, including an audio or video call.
WhatsApp previously had an action sheet with these options or icons to make a video or audio call. Now the instant messaging app has modified audio or video call icons in the form of a context menu. Accordingly, users will notice a new call button with a contextual menu to choose between audio and video calls. The WhatsApp watcher also told the digital media that the availability of a video call button with a plus sign above the icon would generally indicate that your instant messaging app account has this feature enabled.
