The panel is IPS LCD and it does not have any speakers. Dell has added Adaptive Sync, which includes support for AMD FreeSync Premium, VESA Adaptive Sync and Nvidia Sync, while most other monitors will only offer you the first.
Design
Boasting a matte gray and black chassis, the Dell G2724Dhas racy vents across the back panel that will remind you of a vintage car. It is aggressive and appealing, but not too bold that it appears odd or out of place anywhere. It boasts commendable build quality, even though it is made completely out of plastic. Otherwise connectivity remains limited because there is no 3.5mmaudio-out jack and USB is also absent. This is understandable, given the price tag of the monitor.
Navigating the menu system of the Dell G2724D is fairly easy because of the joystick that can be found on the back of the monitor. There are several buttons flanking the joystick that give you shortcuts or can come in handy for the purpose of navigation. A software tool is also available called Dell Display Manager, which can be used for adjusting a number of monitor settings.
Image quality
While the Dell G2724D is inexpensive, gamers would still want good SDR image quality because it can impact their experience and it certainly does not disappoint. You will find that the monitor is capable of delivering good image quality, regardless of the type of content. It offers higher brightness than its competitors and with a contrast ratio of 1280:1, which allows it to deliver dimensionality and depth.
