Those who like to exercise are going to find the JBL Reflect Aero right up their alley and this is because of the combination of what the brand calls Oval Tubes and Powerfins. Three pairs of both are included in the box to help users in finding the best fit. There is also a USB-C charging cable in the box and the charging case comes with a loop so you do not misplace the buds.
Build and features

Even though the noise cancelling is not very strong, you can make adjustments to it. As a matter of fact, JBL has added an ear canal test and ear canal compensation test into the app. The buds can be used for phone calls, as audio quality is improved due to the six microphones.
The 6.8mm driver succeeds in producing powerful sound and you can also use the equalizer to adjust the sound according to your preferences. Similar to a lot of in-ear Bluetooth headphones, the sound does not have a natural liveliness, but it is certainly not unpleasant in any way. The audio works for pop, dance and hip-hop.
While the small housing cannot fit a thick battery, it is enough to give you seven hours of music. You can extra power of 16 hours via the charging case. The playing time is reduced by an hour when you turn on active noise cancelling. Charging the headphones for 15 minutes gives you play time of about four hours.
Accompanying app
JBL’s headphone app has been laid out pretty well and it gives you good room for customization. The app comes with lots of practical functions, which include testing for the right fit and adjustment of active noise cancelling. You can also configure the button for Voice Aware, voice assistant, music control and Auto Play and Pause, amongst others. The equalizer is an important function for Bluetooth headphones and it has been implemented quite well by JBL.
The Verdict
With a price tag of just $149, the JBL Reflect Aero headphones are a great choice for anyone who is interested in earbuds they can use during workouts. The ANC is quite decent for the price and they have a durable and comfortable build. Likewise, the sound is also very decent and you have the freedom to make adjustments to it with the equalizer so it suits your preference. It is unlikely that you will find good earbuds suitable for sports at this price.
