Oppo Find X6 Pro – Review

In 2021, Oppo released the Find X3 Pro and last year, it came up with Find X5 Pro. Both handsets were globally available and set a high bar when it came to camera quality, performance and design on Android phones. But, the Find X6 Pro is only available in China and this is a downside.

Design and build

There is a change in design in the Find X6 Profrom the previous models, as it does not have the same silver metal. There is a black and green matt glass version, which uses Gorilla Glass 5. While it is attractive, it is quite slippery. The device is 9.1mm thick and a quality plastic case is included in the box with vegan leather coating. There is also a two-tone brown and silver vegan design, but this one is 9.6mm thick.

The main focus of the Find X6 Pro are the cameras and the three sensors are housed in a huge round module on the back. The central location means that the phone does not rock when you put it on a table. The phone weighs 218g, which makes it heavy, but it is still lighter than the 14 Pro Max. It also has excellent haptics and there is a fingerprint scanner under the display, along with 2D face unlock.

Screen and speakers

The 6.82-inch AMOLED panel boasting a resolution of 1440 x 3168p and a 120Hz refresh rate is one of the best looking smartphone displays to be found. The Find X6 Pro uses LTPO tech that feels like a premium screen and photos and apps look incredible. The screen’s edges are slightly curved and this makes it feel slimmer.

As far as speakers are concerned, they are dual stereo and quite capable. They are good for music and excellent for podcasts and video calls.

Specs and performance

There are three versions of the Find X6 Pro, which include one with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage of 256GB. You can also get the 16GB RAM version with the same storage, or a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage combination. As for the processor, the phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is quite powerful and delivers great energy efficiency.

When these specs are combined, the Find X6 Pro turns out to be a snappy phone. You can load everything perfectly and even high-end mobile games are easy to manage. The phone also comes with a USB-C 3.1and physical dual SIM slots. As for connectivity, the phone offers 4G, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7 support and NFC support.

Camera

The main camera sensor of the Find X6 Pro is 1-inch in size and the best one you will ever use on a phone. You do not have to have any photography skills, as the phone does all the work. The Sony IMX989 sensor comes with f/1.8 aperture and is quite large for a phone camera, thereby offering excellent results.

The main sensor also uses the portrait mode at both 1x and 2x, but switches to telephoto lens for the 3x zoom. The two other sensors are 50Mp, one periscope telephoto and the other ultrawideand they are also quite decent.
