The Asus NovaGo was one of a small growth of emerging notebooks to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chip, as well as the road has indeed been bumpy. However, the Notebook 7 Spin’s $899 setup includes an Intel Core i5 CPU, a 13.30-inch FHD display, 8Gigabytes of Memory, and a 1TB hard drive.
Led light keyboards are available on all of these rival laptops, but not on the NovaGo. The device, on the other hand, equals them in respect of fingerprint authentication through Windows Hello with such a fingerprint scanner — as well as its battery capacity is significantly greater. Furthermore, none of these competitor notebooks has built-in LTE connectivity.
Unfortunately, every one of these subtleties only combines to further complicate the question of if the Asus NovaGo is worth the money.
Layout
The Asus NovaGo bears a striking resemblance to other Asus notebooks that run Windows 10. The Star Silver hue from Asus looks like a cross between bright blue and charcoal silver, with an aluminum display cover and a polycarbonate foundation.
The top and touchpad have chromium highlights, and the device’s 360º components are made of steel. Asus intended for this notebook to balance the budget-luxury divide, and it could have gone a little further in one direction or another whether.
Whereas the NovaGo is as tiny and lightweight as rival premium two-in-one computers, it misses fundamental characteristics such as a backlit keypad and USB-C.
The latter is by far the most glaring oversight, particularly given how awful the keypad is on topmost of that too. This keypad is also not difficult to be seen in the nighttime without such a backlight, but it also has spongy motion and poor response.
The touchpad should be at the actual minimum serviceable, with quick navigation and a nice touch. But, Asus seemed to have the great point of using the fingerprint scanner to take up a little of that touchpad area. Whereas the fingerprint identification mechanism is modest, there are wiser locations for it, such as embedding it hooked on the control box.
Sound and Visuals
Asus has equipped the NovaGo with a 13.30-inch screen with a Full Hd display of 1,920 by 1,080 images and a pixel density of 165-pixel resolution (PPI). The screen boasts a color spectrum that is 100 percent sRGB certified, and it appears.a
